Celebrating the birth of our King
We would love to spend Christmas Eve with you. It is a time of celebration over the birth of Jesus and the hope we can still have today because of His presence with us. Join us for a festive and joyous time as we sing, laugh, and eat together while we worship our King.
We are a relational church; future friends of yours that do life together. We are a community that is here to help you come to understand your purpose and value in Christ and equip you to be active in His Kingdom.
We hope you can be with us at one of our Christmas Eve Gatherings and stick around for food and friends afterwards.
Christmas Eve Gathering
@McMenamins // Octoganal Barn
Tuesday December 24 // 3pm & 5pm
This Christmas Season we are going to have an Adent-ure together to help us prepare our hearts and rekindle our anticipation for the arrival of Jesus. Each week we will introduce a new challenge that will connect with the advent theme.
Week 1: Hope // Dec 1
Activity: Start the season with us by getting into the Word of God daily. Pick up your devotional book for the whole season starting Sunday Dec 1 at our Sunday Morning Gathering.
Family Ideas: You can read a section before bed each night or highlight a verse that you want to help your kids understand / memorize.
Week 3: Joy // Dec 15
Activity: Team up with others from Kingship to tour your neighborhood to view all the Christmas Light Decorations and determine the "Best in Town". We will have actual awards for you to give out to the top three winners.
Family Ideas: Don't forget to include the kids in the voting process and let them know why we are doing those; to bring joy to others.
Week 2: Love // Dec 8
Activity: Take time to serve others this season as we help with renovations at Good Samaritan. We will be remodeling their counseling offices in time for the new year. This will involve cleaning, painting, sorting books, and redecorating. Sign ups will be available at our Sunday Morning Gatherings
Project Dates: Sat Dec 7 (8am - noon) & Sunday Dec 8 (4pm - 7pm)
Week 4: Peace // Dec 22
Activity: Give Generously towards the immediate needs of those being rescued from Domestic Abuse. We will have a special offering during our Sunday Morning Gathering to help support these efforts with partners like Living Waters of Hope and the Hillsboro School District.
Family Ideas: Invite your kids into being generous this Christmas. Make sure to talk with them why it is important to give in this way. Your kids may surprise you in how creative they get to raise even more.
