Incredibly Grateful

It sounds like a broken record to say that Opening Day was more than we could have imagined! Yes, seeing the room full of people praising God together was encouraging in itself. After all, the space was a construction site not too long ago! But in every person who spoke, you could feel the overwhelming sense of encouragement and affirmation that Kingship is truly God’s church that He is building.

Church plants start with people being obedient to the call God has placed on their hearts, and it was evident last Sunday that people have and are responding to that call for Kingship. We remembered how Kingship started, and the faith and obedience it has taken to get to this milestone. We remembered why we took our time to write our own statements of faith and be clear about our passions and values. Most notably, to hear from our mentors at eXcel Leadership Network (video below) and from Jared and Ann Roth was overwhelming; it left us feeling incredibly grateful that God has brought these people to us for guidance and support. Their passion for church plants and spreading the Gospel is contagious! In the midst of tough decisions thinking “how is this going to work out”, God keeps reminding us that “so far he has helped us”. I hope we don’t easily forget what God has shown us from our Grand Opening as we continue to gather in the building, even as we look towards the future. Someone asked “what’s going to happen when the classrooms fill up and the building isn’t big enough?” And I love that forward thinking, the assurance we have that God is building His Kingdom through Kingship; we give all the praise and glory to Him.
