"It’s more than a building, it's an opportunity."
That has been a phrase quoted many times now since the beginning of 2022, when we were surprised by the generosity of an angel investor that secured our new church building for purchase. It is a marvelous thing to say we have a church building within the first year of launching Kingship.Church. Colleagues and other Church supporters remind us, regularly, that it is an amazing feat that only God could have orchestrated and provided. To top that, nearly half of the funds needed for the remodeling required have been raised internally through the families that are committed to the mission and vision of Kingship.
Our desire, as His church, is to help His people come to understand their purpose and value in Christ and equip them to be active in His Kingdom.
Our generosity has been a direct response to God’s generosity that we’ve experienced. We believe it in our bones… God is providing an opportunity to see the vision He has for this church flourish.
From the first time we walked into the building, we could see the hope of reaching people with hesitation about church, faith, and God being present in that location. It doesn’t look like a church building, and that's the point. Our desire to be a relational church has had us praying and searching for a place where relationships can thrive and are the highlight and attraction for anyone that finds themselves there. This building is a way to show the community a commitment of Kingship’s presence and mission.
As construction is nearing we are reaching out to ask for your support. We thank you already for your affirmation in our vision and prayers as we have diligently worked towards preparing our hearts and church body for the missional task God has called us for. Now, we invite you to partner with us in this new way; specifically towards opening the doors to the ministry that will take place at 230 SE Washington.
For us, this is all part of trusting God in His fruition of Kingship’s mission and vision. That, He is calling more than a few, but his Larger capital “C” Church to expand His kingdom in this way.
For you, this may be the opportunity you’ve needed, to see God is still at work regardless of what we’ve experienced in the last few years and join Him in rebuilding community and instilling hope in the desperation the world is experiencing.
Join us, by financially giving towards creating a space where people can gather, families strengthened, hesitations removed and relationships can be built that are directed toward Jesus.
We are hoping to raise just (and I put “just” in there humorously) a mere $70,000 by this summer so that the building can be open by the fall if not sooner. If we have learned anything in the last few months, as half of what we’ve needed has been raised; this is not outside of God’s ability and don’t underestimate the generosity of His people.
