The primary mission of Kingship Church is to "Equip All for the Kingdom of God". Engagement in our called mission, as a church, is part of our central act of worship, duty, and our own relationship with God.
To equip all does not just mean disciplining those who consider Kingship their home church. On the contrary, it is about Christ's Church at large and the those in need of Christ and His Church. We are called to disciple with a Kingdom of God mindset. It is about providing an answer to the hope that we have to all.
This month, Pastor Rick had the opportunity to equip other pastors in helping them in caring for their own relationship with God as they care for so many people, which God entrusts to them. We want every church to be encouraged and strengthened in Christ. Part of that is caring for their leaders and their own personal relationship with God.
Having a way to reflect on and evaluate the current health of your relationship with God is important for everyone. We thought it would be good opportunity to share this same exercise, in order to help equip you in your walk with Christ.
GOD WITH MAN EXERCISE
Reflect on the following statements. While acknowledging the truths they bear, be honest on how they are being lived out in your daily walk currently. Take time to write down your reflections.
GOD SITS with MAN
How am I acknowledging the truth that God is ever present with me? He does not leave me nor forsake me regardless of how I personally feel about my faith currently.
GOD TALKS with MAN
God’s Word is readily available and there for my personal teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. How am I accepting these things from His Spirit through His Word?
GOD DOES with MAN
How am I living in acknowledgment that God works for my good and has prepared good works specific to me in advance?
Now the reversal...
MAN SITS with GOD
Am I actively seeking to be present with God? Am I finding my rest and peace by abiding in Him?
MAN TALKS with GOD
Am I praying and disclosing with God, my gratefulness, thanksgiving, concerns, confessions, hurts, confusions, joys, and praises?
MAN DOES with GOD
Am I attempting to accomplish things on my own without God? Am I choosing to rely and do life with Him?
