Have you heard what is happening? God has been asking for obedience, and people have been responding. He has called for a new gathering of His Church focused on restoring the family and the role each person plays in the kingdom of God.
As God is moving us towards starting a church, it has already presented many challenging moments. The first has been not knowing what God is moving us towards. Each call has unfolded a small piece of the story, asking us to take a step of faith without knowing what it might mean for the future.
For Rick & Michelle, it started with a call to sell their house, an ask that meant removing stability for their family. But obedience in this led to trust and readiness in what God would call them to next.
For Rian & Julie, obeying the call meant leaning into spiritual giftings they weren't familiar with. And as they continued to seek the Spirit's leading they discovered God can use anyone He wants, to further His kingdom.
Like Abram, we have been given a call to go. It is clear the promise land is a new church. How do we get there? By trusting each step God is asking along the way. The journey is where our trust in Christ will grow stronger and deeper, preparing us for what it will take to live out His mission.
Like Peter, when we look down we lose sight of who the story is about. We get stuck on our perceived limitations, seeing only what we have been capable of before. We have a King we can focus our eyes on. His Kingdom walks on water.
Jesus Christ calls each of us out of the boat; a man made shelter. He calls us into His mission field; the sea of life. It is stormy, wet, and dangerous. It is also beautiful; especially when we witness what our King can do with it.
Perhaps our story is your story too.
How is Jesus calling you to look beyond your limitations and see the life He has for you ... with Him?
